Default config on Passport 8006 2

We recently received a used Passport 8006, however do not know the rwa password. Looking for help on retrieving rwa password or defaulting config so we can start from scratch.

In older versions of the software the passwords were stored in the config.cfg file. You can view it by stopping the system's boot process at the boot monitor prompt and looking at that file, or you could just erase that file since you'll want to start over anyway. There is a boot.cfg file that gets loaded as well.

On newer versions of code the passwords are hidden, but from the boot monitor prompt you can do a reset-passwd to reset them to default (rwa/rwa).

The default password for rwa is ....drum roll please... rwa

If you delete the config.cfg file and reboot it will come up with the default config, which basically sets the box up as a large layer-2 switch with everything in VLAN 1.

Note that some configuration is stored in the boot.cfg file, including information on where to find the software image - you'll want to take a look at it as well.
