Hi,

I am using Put function to put the file generated by Map rule to destination directory. What I have observed is if someone removes the destination directory, Map puts the file in to it's own directory (where the map itself is located)

I understand that this is the default behaviour of the Map but Where can I see the settings for this? Can I Change the default directory & assign it to some log directory in case some one played with the original destination directory???

What version of Mercator on what platform? Are you using fully qualified paths? Do you have a valid/fail around the PUT?

Hi,

Mercator6.7(306) on Unix platform.

By fully qualified path, I understand we are talking about absolute path. If it is then yes,I am using fully qualified path. I am using Valid function around PUT Function.

As far as I know, that should have failed. Make up a simple test case & send to support.

If you are using the Event Server, it would seem to be going into the "current working directory" depending on what else was in the map. The only two enviromentally set dorectories are MERC_HOME_DIR and MERC_TEMP_DIR.
