I got a message that that the "defannty.dll" file is missing. What does does this mean?

Also, my norton virus utility 2003 does not work and I ran bugbear fix for it. I also reinstalled it from the disk and it still does not work.

The "Defannty.dll" file is part of the Symantec Shared LiveSubscribe Components. You can get a copy of it here:

The problem I have is I'm not sure where you put it... \windows\system I would guess.

Is it just the AntiVirus part of Norton that won't work or does none of Norton work (ie. utilities, cleansweep, etc.) Please be more clear on how it doesn't work.
