Hi all,

I have servers in a blade enclosure that I want to add to as Dedicated Storage Nodes. Currently, these systems have 2 hba's that I'm using for storage. Other non-blade systems have a dedicated HBA.

Can these HBA's be used for DDS too or do I need another HBA. Any other options?

Thanks!

With respect to NW, it does not matter whether it is used for "standard" devices or DDS devices. However, you might need a dedicated HBA because of SCSI bus resets.

For example, for a Windows SN, you must not share disk and tape drives on the same bus. More details are available in the docs.
