I give this one more shot.
Have anyone found a way of using 3 party DECT's on the Meridian system perfectly, with CLID and everything.
I am haveing problem with a Siemens SL1, which we very much want to use on the Cruise Vessel that i work on. I have tried every setting i can think of, but still no luck.
We have the C4020, C4050 and C4060 and i can confirm that they do NOT come half way up to the Siemens phones in coverage, features and spesally size/weight.
Please help me out here if anyone have expirienced this and solved it.
Fred.

Siemens SL1

i worked the siemons 9006, 9751, not to long after they bought rolm. we were still using rp-120's and 240's.. you may find an answer to your question in the siemons forum. meridian sl-1 techs (myself included) don't know a whole lot about the siemens line. i for one didn't know that siemens has a sl1 switch. that has been a meridial (nortel) nomaneclature for 20 years. loved the rolm 9751, as well as their 7000, 8000 series (orange).. can't say i worked the siemens mmi enough to like it. i did like the command line, letting you enter full commands, of you could remember where the ,,, and ;;; needed to go.

Ericson DT570 works well with Nortel dect systems. However, if you are talking about weight and size they are not the one to choose..

I have tried several other types but not got any that works without complaints.

However soon Nortel will have their 4025 handset, maybe that could be something..

I guess i didn't explain myself very good here.
I am having problem with the CLID on 3-party phones, in other therms the Meridian i not sending all the information to the siemens phone that the C4060 ids getting or the siemens need's a diffrent type of protocol to understand and pick up info from the Meridian. Like i stated earlyer i had this problem on the Alcatel and i found a way around that, to get the Alcatel to send out the correct protocol, do anyone know if there is other settings on the Meridian.

the only way i have gotten that to work is to use qsig between the switches, with qsig they can all speak the same lang..
