Morning All,
In the process of rolling out my first DECT system. My goal at the moment is to simply perform a site survey to check for coverage. I have the deployment kit consisting of (2) IPBS2 base stations, (1) 3725 & (1) 3720 handsets.
Currently the MAster base is in Deployment mode and the LED is indicating red/amber. From what I can see this confirms that the base is in Deployment mode but has no Air Synch. I am unable to see that the slave base is active from within the Master config and I cannot get the handset to subscribe to the base.
Is it possible to even deploy for a site survey without the use of an IP Office?
Should my Master base be in Deplyment or Active mode?
I have tried numerous combinations, defaulted both base stations several times with no luck.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated as always.

Your basestation is not synced yet.
You do not need a second basestation.

Do you have it setup just like it is connected to an IPO?
You do not need an IPO for this.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Peter, I do have it setup as if it were connected to an IPO. I've followed the 'Non Provisioned' configuration that is outlined in the Knowledgebase. I'm guessiing that I have missed something simple but it escapes me at this point.

You need to go to the devices and add the basestation.
Only then it will sync (with itself) and then the red led will go away.

When I go to Device Overview, I see my base station and it appears to be synched, to itself. Also, if I look under DECT>Radio, the Status is 'Connected to Master'.

Then it should be ok.

In DECT>Master>Mode: Deployment
PARI: 22 (this was default number so I left it as is)
Valid SARI code
DECT>Air Synch>Synch Mode: Master; Synch Region:1

The described SiteSurvey Mode is working for me. I can subscribe portables and test the link status.

Do you know if it is possible to make phone calls between two handsets?

Every time I try to start a phone call I just can only hear myself but cannot hear the other phone.

I tried to set up numbers to the handsets and I tried it without numbers. Thought it could be similiar to a conference call where everyone can talk to the others if a call (without target number) is startet.

It helps me to use a base station and phones to perform a site survey but it would be nice to test the voice quality by making phone calls between two handsets.

Thank you for your help.

Derfloh,
I seem to recall reading somewhere that when used for a site survey, the audio would be looped back to the handset. So I do not believe you can make calls between handsets but I could be wrong.
Do you have your base station in Active or Deployment mode?

It's set up in deployment mode. I think in active mode it will not work without LAN connection...
