Hi,

while having troubles configuring a DECT system for testing purposes, I tried to default the base station.

The manual says:
- connect the power to the base station, wait approximately 5 sec.
- depress the reset button for at least 10seconds, then release
- the base station will reboot and get default to 192.168.0.1 (since there are no DHCP severs)

I'm in the same network range, but can't ping the station. The old IP address is erased as well.

The base station and my laptop are connected through a PoE switch (since I don't have a separate power supply for the station).

the LEDs on the base station:
LED 1: green (or amber after pressing the reset button for 10sec - and this is strange, caus the manual says this is TFTP mode)
LED 2: alternating red/green

Anybody knows how to default the base station and access it again through with browser?

You need to type this:

where xx-xx-xx are the last six digits of the mac address

You also could connect it to the network and let it get an ip address by dhcp

Then use a program to find the base station

I always use colasoft mac scanner or angry ip scanner

honey, i fried the IP Office !!!

doens't work neither.

in the command prompt, I receive host not found with: nbtstat -R and nbtstat -a ipbs-xx-xx-xx

I'll try with a DHCP server and IP scanner...

update: I connected my laptop, the base station and a 406 PBX to the PoE switch.

The PBX is in dhcp mode and default mode (erase config performed)...but still nog luck. An IP scan in the range 192.168.42.1 - 192.168.42.255 only shows the laptop and pbx...

Maybe the station can't reboot correct anymore...?

Keep the reset button pressed and power the base station.
DHCP should always work normally

Couldn't get it to work with the DHCP server, but after another reset I received a reply from the standard address, 192.168.0.1

All is working now. Thanks for the quick replies

Good that it works :)
