Hi, i have a MD110 BC12SP5 with 19 lim.
Since four months we have a problem with dect system.
In my md110 works:
DT 290
DT 292
DT 570
DT 590
DT 288
DT 412
DT 422
Often the dect remains connected to a base-station even if the dect is brought to a different area, covered by another base-station (it's a sort of roaming issue); this is very difficult to determine because the dect still display the connection but the dect reply to MD110 as a out-of-area connection (4 free ring and then busy tone).
No alarm in the winfiol, all the base station are fine and the synchronization too.
All revisions boards are upgraded.
Some people tell me to upgrade to BC13, but i don't think is the solution.

the instability can be caused by a DECT itself (problem models are DT4xx series). are you experiencing spontaneous ELU31 restarts?

Hi Daddy

What do you mean with: "problem DECT models are DT4xx the series"? Does this mean that all DT4xx gives problems - or just some models (with some specified software)?

To Zinco

As you write "for four months ago"... What happened just before that? Was something upgraded or did you have a power loss (or other major fault)on the MD110?
Are all your ELU-31 boards and basestations (BS330/340) upgraded to the newest f/w?
Also remember that DECT installations demand a very good grounding!

I'm just saying that complete system instability can be caused by just one, I repeat, just one DECT handset. I have already found 2 cases like this and each time it was a 4xx series DECT, in fact it was the simcard that was faulty. (I am not saying these types of phones are bad!).

hi,

how the auth code can be in a dect phone?
in my system, all the dect phones have same CSP, in that some 1/2 can use auth code and make calls using it, but most of the others cannot. is there some special techniq to use the auth code in DECT?

Monrovia, don't steal other people's threads. This is a new problem, please make a new thread...

Hi thanks for help, we haven't experienced any restart of ELU 31 and the problem began without any power loss

to doktor
first step we followed was to upgrade all ELU31s and base-stations, but the issue il still on.
by the way the "roaming-problem" is randomize on most of our equipments (about 250 DECTs).
We'll try to substitute all DT4xx equipments and we'll looking forward to solve this issue.

MANY THANKS!

The cause of the problem is on ELU31. We have also experienced this problem several times. If you cahnge the board or shift the base to another port on ELU31 you will see it is working. The cause of the problem is ELU31 can talk to the base station, signaling is OK. You can see on the phone as full signal. But there is problem to create the speech. Mostly the diode on ELU31 is broken.
