Have a site where the Kirk Dect unit loses coms with the IPO Dect SW during calls, when several calls in progress causes the dect integration to fail, need to restart the service to get the integration working again.
All cables and PC's ok, suspect it is a com port driver issue, any ideas, come on Guru, make me proud.

What Version of software are you using in the IPO
Are the Cordles extn's numberd SEQUENTIALY?

the 1.4 software suite is supposed to have improved the operation of cordless phones. it has also removed the requirement for sequential numbering.

unfortunatly I have not seen this in operation yet

As per the last user yes the latest 1.4 disk once installed, remove's the need to have consecutive extns and ports, also the dect tool and the CCFP are the latest levels

How are people generally finding the stability of the Dect Service under 2.0

We still seem to be having trouble with it.

In regarding to twinning stopping and having to restart the service and phone book not working after a few days and again the services having to be restarted.

Have both Version 1.4 & Version 2.0(16) installations

Version 2 seems more stable

Have the problem with Twinning service stopping

Having the service running on a XP PC with the service automatically restarted on failure works with the users not noticing the outage times

Error logs shows COM1 ports errors prior to service stopping.

Waiting to try Version 2.1

If problem persists then will try WIN2K PC to see if COM port is XP specific

Confirmed Version 2.1 does not resolve the issue with Twinning it still stops for no reason and the service has to be restarted. Also there are ongoing issue with No Answer timers when twinned and Phone Book access..

AVAYA are working on it and seem to be sending us a new version every day to test.

Again I cannot beleve this has been the case since 1.2 days AVAYA seem to be intrested in fixing it now. About time !

Yesterday I upgraded a site to Version 2.1 (5) .

Unable to comment on stability of DECT intergration service as I have a more serious problem.

With twinning enabled the first call to a twinned extension works fine.

When call is completed whichever of the twinned handsets that was NOT used to answer the incoming call goes Busy and subsequent calls are blocked to either of the twinned units

This happens every time so is unusable

Now using the Coverage feature as a temporary solution.

Any ideas

Just raking up this issue again to See if anybody else is having any problems with dect intergration

We have an IP Office 403 V2.1(27) with a Compact Dect system intergrated and are regularly having the problem detailed below. The dect service is running on a XP Pro PC

In regarding to twinning stopping and having to restart the service and phone book not working after a few days and again the services having to be restarted.

Since the release of TB 27 and Dect build .12 things have improved greatly, However for the time being do NOT use base stations with greater than PCS 5 as there seems to be a huge issue with CLI, Guess what it dont work !!!.

Avaya are investagating, but they are shipping PCS7 Dect 500 units without testing with the .12 dect intergration package seems KIRK have changed the FW and the Dect Int is not compat !!, out of intrest does anybody have a DECT 500 PCS 7F running .12 of Dect and CLI works OK with the Dect CTI running.

Also has anybody had issues with Compact Dect .12 with 20DT with PCS 10A or lower. Seems the handsets have to be above 15 as TB 27 states.

The 10A handset displays the mailbox icon, all the time 16 17 PCS handsets are OK !
