Howdy,

We are taking over maintenance for a site which currently has an old 406, and we are planning to upgrade them to a 500v2. One of the current licences is a DECT integration licence. I've been looking around on here and on the knowlegebase, but it seems to be no longer mentioned in the later releases. Does anyone know if it is still valid? or would be needed on the new system, it is to integrate with their Polycom 8000.

The Polycom 8000 uses SIP devices as far as i know.
The license you see is very old.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

The dect integration licence was to enable CLI &twinning functionality with a kirk dect system

the kirk dect needed an "event log" on a separate rs232 link that was provided by an application running on a PC to provide CLI & directory information.
This application also handled the twinning operation of the handsets before it was integrated into the core IPO software.
(& it was always a flakey solution)

It is has been obsolete for a long time.

superseded by IP Dect/IP Dect R4 & d100 Dect solutions.

Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear
