I have a customer that recently installed 20 headsets on their 5330 sets (on 3300 5.0)

5 of the headsets have died due to not charging.

Anyone else seeing this kind of failure rate?

was it he headset or the module? I have had a few modules in the past but 25% is a lot. Maybe just unlucky.....

Are the 5330 older issues? There was a power jumper that needed to be installed to bridge the power to the charging plate.

NO GOOD DEED GOES UNPUNISHED!

The jumpers are in place, checked myself to make sure.

When you say die is it they will not resurrect when recharged?

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.

*****UPDATE*****

We appear to have isolated the issue. The modular plug that connects the headset cradle to the module is not making a proper connection. If you push the module in and hold it the headset will show itself charging. Let go and the modular plug loses connection.

I bent a paper clip, lifted the spring connections inside the module and voila - issue resolved.
