I take it the "To" and "From" addressing is working correctly? Do you recognize the Sender, if not just delete the E-mail, unless this is a business machine.

Try turning off your Anti Virus's option to check incoming mail and see if you still get funny E-mails. Your Anti Virus will still check the files as you open them.

To me that text looks like part of a program exe as seen and read from Notepad, or any other text editor, including your E-mail program.

Are they attachments or is the text in the body of the E-mail?

It could also be the mime encoding, is that set up correctly?

I've seen this often enough and thought maybe there was a simple explanation. Was wondering about an encryption program for personal stuff. Thanks for responding
