Hi!
Can anyone give me any suggestions on how to reduce reddness in the skin (ex. as if someone is flushed and you want to alter their skin to look like a normal skin color)? I try the healing brush but it always comes out looking too dark! I try the desautrate tool but it always comes out turning greyish...
Thank you for your help!!!!!

I have achieved both fast and acceptable results using the hue/saturation dialog box. Choose red in the dropdown box and then use the saturation and/or lightness sliders to get (or get close to the desired results. Afterwards, add a little yellow (IMAGE/ADJUST/COLOUR BALANCE is easiest)

A good plan today is better than a perfect plan tomorrow.

Here's what i might do, select the part of the skin that you want to change(i use the paintbrush in quick mask mode-then back to the selection).
Use the eyedropper to find the desired skintone colour and paint over the desired area with the paintbrush in either 'hue'(maybe better) or 'color' blending modes(Use a fairly low opacity setting for more control and gradually the skintone will change).

Moe: It could have been a real ugly situation, but luckily I managed to shoot him in the spine.

If you're in rgb mode try converting to cmyk. This is much more intuitive, I believe. Select the area you want to adjust and give a slight feather. Go to Levels and adjust the magenta channel while watching the preview. If the redness is strong in the shadows, then drag the bottom left slider to the right. For mid tones the top middle slider left to lighten. For highlights - top right slider. To increase colour in highlights use the bottom right slider. You have more control over colour balance in cmyk.
