Decomissioning a server , DFS question

Hi,

I am planning to decomission a server (windows 2003 std R2) , in the DFS console , I have changed the targets to point to the new server.

I have noticed that there is nothing setup in the DFS console on the new server.

Does the DFS console need to be configured on the new server first with the same settings? , before I switch the old one off? , or will the settings move over?

Please ignore this thread, I have figured it out.

just did 'show root' on the new server and added it from AD.
