Do any of you know how to interpret the "Facility i = " field in the output of "debug isdn q931" ? I'm trying to debug some QSIG call transfer and path replacement stuff and I can't figure out what I'm even looking at.

As an example:

*Nov 10 19:12:56.031: ISDN Se0/0/0:23 Q931: TX -> FACILITY pd = 8 callref = 0x0022
Facility i = 0x9FAA068001008201008B0100A11F02020A0002010C30160A0101A00EA5090A010412043738
32300A01030A0100

How do I figure out which q931 message that actually is? It is most likely a QSIG call transfer message, but I need to know for sure, and I also need to figure out which messages in my logs are QSIG path replacement messages.

Any ideas?

Thanks!
John

john,

i have a decoder that i've used in the past but it doesn't seem to work for your qsig message. I have used it in the past on OTHER qsig issues where cisco stuff maybe wasn't passing the facility IE for voicemail access (but we were ;) ).

Since there's no PM function here, give me your email addy and I'll send it to ya - you might be able to use it in the future.

Eric

You can send it to jneiberger@gmail.com.

Thanks!

What is the name of this decoder application? what sort of information can this decode? Sounds interesting...

i think it's just an hex->ascii decoder, a little in house app called facility2name. Drop an email addy and I'll punt it to whomever.
