I am an IT engineer in Adelaide Australia currently on the downhill path to finishing off MCSE 2000 and then to MCSE 2003. aiming to complete by the end of the year / early next year.

Over the past 2 years there has been a quite a significant decline in test centres here (currently 2 reasonable sites available - 1 in the CBD Tues and Wed only, 1 60 min drive from the CBD) so i am curious if this is a general trend relative to you part of the world. I am a little worried i will need to Fly to another city soon.

Though this isn't necessarily only a MS cert question i would expect activity on this forum to be the busiest.

Glasgow has actually gained a few over the last couple of years.
New training centres have opened up and tend to offer testing and also a lot of colleges are doing it as well. They are offering cheap day release courses on Cisco / MS etc. but are also testing centres for their own candidates. But anyone can go along for testing since they still usually come under Vue / Prometric.

Same story in Dallas...

Hi

I live in Sydney and there are still a number of Test Centres here although there is a trend for schools and Test centres to close.

I spent the first 24 years of my life in Adelaide, so I know how it can seem a bit isolated there.

I think the trend you mentioned is partly due to the dot com crash and also the Federal Government (where I work) does nothing to encourage the development of the IT industry here.

I have heard that IT is still growing in Ireland. All we get here in Oz are small outpost sales based offices. Comparatively little hardware or software development happens here.

Anyway, now that there is only one test site in Adelaide they have a monopoly and there will always be some IT training there so they usually keep a test site running to serve there customers.

Good luck
