Deciphering Exchange 2000 Logons 1

Exchange 2000 server

Under the Storage Group > Mailbox Store > Logons, I see some strange entries. They are "SMTP (<servername>--<string of characters>)" with Windows 2000 account "NT Authority/System".

Valid? What do they mean?
