Hello all:

I have a quick question I hope someone can help me with. I have an email that looks like it has been encrypted (yahoo email). Does anyone know of a program (or if one even exists) that I could paste some text into and it would use its algorithms to decrypt the text? This is way beyond any knowledge I have so any help is appreciated. Thank you.

--TIA!!

The program you described does not exist.

iXPhound,

What is it that makes you believe that the email has been encrypted? In most cases, the email program will identify how each attachment has been encoded for transmission over the Internet. Often, this doesn't involve encryption at all, it is simply an encoding scheme to allow binary attachments to be transmitted through MTAs that in the past frequently only supported 7-bit transmission.

Try posting a snippet of the email. Preferrably the beginning of the "encrypted" portion.
