I'm drawing graphics to be printed on adhesive vinyl and am having trouble finding a good printing company. I've tried two companies and both jobs came back with banding(little lines of different shades that look similar to when your inkjet printer runs low on ink). Happens on both solid colors and gradient fills. One companies print had banding intermittantly, sometimes the color was fine, sometines not. Can anyone recommend a printing company we can do business with over the internet?

I like a company called 21st Century Signs.
Talk to Mike Engal. He is a pro and can help you with the banding problem.

I have had really great results with scotchprint and gerber graphic output.

The dots are naturally large with this type of printing, but you should not have banding in the fades.

I'd gladly pay you on Thursday

The banding is probably caused by them running on a low icc profile. I work for a Sign co that uses a large format printer.(Falcon Outdoor II)
If I run on a low ic profile say 360 2 pass, I see banding occur. If I run on 720 2 pass with a fairly high ink limit set then there are no bands. With gradients it can also be dependant upon the program used to create the image, Illustrator is the best so far that I have seen to create band free gradients.
