The Query Analyzer debug options are not enabled in my SQL Server 2000 session. Step into, step over etc is not activated. I can use the debug dialog but not the the other options.

Can someone please tell me why. Is this an installation or maybe environment issue?
Can someone recommend an efficient way to debug functions. I need to be able to step through functions and stored procedures. I am considering setting up and Access ADP file in my development environment. I'd appreciate any feedback on this.

Thanks.

If the debug session works but just runs to completion try running:

sp_sdidebug 'legacy_on'

in the database session you are debuuging first.
