debugging problem

I am getting the following error when i try to debug a ASP.NET project. It was working fine till last week.

System configuration:
Win XP pro with IIS 5

Error:

Error while trying to run project: Unable to start debugging on the web server. The COM+ registry database detected a system error

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

s2001, ca8msm: Just a tidbit - as you probably already know; I was curious about this as well and found that several posters around the net were perplexed over this same issue; not one solution was provided (seems to be problem that is cropping up though).

I knew someone with the same issue.
The uninstalled iis, dot net frame and com+.

Then they reinstalled com+, iis and dot net framework in that order and all was well.

An un-install and then a re-install will usually solve the problem then (if you didn't have the service pack on, that usually fixes it as well).
