I've got a DTS package where when run from a job it completes successfully, but none of my tables are updated. I stumbled across this article where it is possible to debug an Active X script. I did what the article said to do and it does not work. I was wondering if anyone else out there tried to debug their DTS package and had more success than I.

Thanks to all,

For activex scripts I develop in VB and use msgbox in the script if I need to trace what is happenning.

Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.
DTS can be used in a similar way.

Thanks for your reply, I tried placing a msgbox in there and it never popped up. It was the first line of code to be executed. Is there some setting that needs to be checked? The above article on debugging from Microsoft mentioned that I had to right-click on the Data Transformation Services folder --> Properties --> check "Turn on Just in Time Debugging." Do I need to check a similar setting to get a msgbox to pop up? In the past 1.5 years I've never had a problem doing anything in an ActiveX script but now it's being a real PITA!

Thanks,
