Debug items grayed out

i have just reinstalled delphi 2007 for Win 32 and the following items are grayed out and not available:

Add Watch at Cusor
Set Next Statement
GoTo Address
View CPU
Inspect
Run to Cusor

How do I solve this problem?

Might be a silly question, but have you compiled/built the code yet?

I have compiled and run programs several times.

..and that some if not all of these options will only be avaible in a debug session. I.e if you have halted the program, with a pause or breakpoint.
