Guys, I have a Debian Lenny server that has no access to the Internet. If I download package files (.DEB) from the Debian website, please can you advise how I install them manually as the apt-get install command does not work as the sources.list file contains Internet links only.

Or is it a case that I have to download the Tarballs and install using them?

Thanks

GOOGLE: APT HOWTO DEBIAN ...

that should have been your first start, there it would have led you to the corresponding APT HOWTO...

see: Sections 2.1 - 2.4

reference for the future:

1. Do your homework first, e.g. GOOGLE ...

2. then if you do not know what where how or why, ask here... stating what you have already done to alleviate the problem, this will save you & us the headaches... after all this is a professional forum, where we expect that one has already searched on how to do what you are asking...
