Hi,
I've searched this forum already but none of the previous threads helped with my problem. I have a Toshiba Satellite 1805-s207 with a 16mb Trident CyberbladeXP video card. I'm trying to install Debian 3.1 with kernel 2.4 and i can't get X to work. I've tried reconfiguring xserver using dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86 but it hasn't helped. I have my refresh rate set to to values specified on the specifications page for my laptop so i don't think that's the issue. This is the exact error i'm getting:
(EE) No devices detected.
Fatal server error:
no screens found

Also, above this error it says: Trident: driver for trident chipsets: tvga8900d....., ....., cyberbladeXP which really confuses me because that's the driver that should work. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Screens mean "Screen" stanza definitions in your XF86Config file, not Adapters. How did you configure X initially?
