Dear all,

I have been asked to create a separate VLAN on aevery ethernet port on a 2900 switch the reason I need to do this is to create an MRTG graph on each port. We connect customers on each port and dont want visibility between customers..

Has anyone done this ? It's all computers nowadays...

I've done it on many ports.. it's not hard but have a something of a beefy router to handle all 24 VLANs showing up on it's doorstep :) ANd yes, it's time consuming to a degree. You would take the last port and trunk it back to a fastether port on a router.. You may even want to consider ( depending on traffic) taking the last two lines and turn them into an Etherchannel which "bonds" the two ports together for an aggerate upstream/downstream rate.
