I have text fields on a web based form that can contain " or ' characters... these are the only two characters that seem to give me problems.
Sometmes they get stored in the database correctly, sometimes not. And when they do get stored correctly, they dont always get output to the webpage correctly (using htp.print, htp.tabledata, etc.
Should i just extract these characters through javascript? Should i extract them through some oracle string function? If so, is there one that already does that or do i need to write one using instr?
Is there a better way? Any help will be very appreciated.
