Hi all,
I have B&W G3, running OS X.2. Two hard drives, one 40 G for the OSX and one 6 (?) that came with the original machine and house OS 9. Computer is on a home network with router and DSL. I leave it on all the time. Router has firewall. It's plugged into a surge protector, of course.
Came home last night and the computer was making strange clicking/whirling noises. "Uh-oh" I said, rebooted using buttons got the folder/? and then finally the OS 9 drive booted. Hmm.. no prob, I have Disk Warrior. Reboot with DW and it won't show me my OS X hard drive. Still have the strange clicking. Turn all off, disconnect everything, open case to have a look-see, vacuum dust and put all back together.
Now it won't do nothing. I'm taking it in to the shop today, but wanted to know if anyone has ideas about what happened and which part of my computer is the injured party.
Also we've been having lots of power changes here... almost going off and then back on... you think that's the culprit?
Thanks
