I have a Dell 18" FP that died. The power light never comes on, I changed power cables as well and verified the outlet. I bought a new monitor and it works fine with the same cable and PC.

My question is about the dead 18". Is there a replaceable power supply? I am handy with a soldering iron and not afraid to go into it, but wanted to know if this was even feasable or if the monitor is just junk now?

has everything you might possibly need. As for the power brick, you can try eBay, but a meter across the jack should verify DC.

it has an internal transformer, I should have described it better I guess lol the power cable is the standard 3 prong power cable for any PC's. I will have to take it apart and look for any replaceable parts I guess, my wife hates when i do that haha
