I have an Option 11 (Version 2121 Release 4) and the problem I have is when a DN is cfw to a cell phone and somebody calls that DN (either internally or from outside) the caller gets dead air, but the cell phone rings. The calls are going out over AT&T T1s and the cell phones in question are Verizon.

I was just wondering if anyone else had an issue like this.

Ya, and adjust the "settings" is a good idea too, eh?

What we are saying is there could be a long time before the Cell Phone is contacted. Dial a normal number and time it, then dial a cell number and time it. You will must likely notice a difference in the time before you hear a ringback.
Sometimes it feels forever before the cell phone is contacted. You can play around with the EOD timer in the RDB, this may help you.

Once again, and answer that takes all the mystery out of it :) Thanks PERRYPJ!

I appreciate the suggestions. I changed the settings and timer in the RDB, but got the same response. The problem isn't a delayed ringback, it's that there is no ringback even though the cell phone does ring. If the cell phone is dialed direct the call goes through with no problem and there is ringback. If a DN is cfw to that same cell phone, the caller doesn't get ringback.

what happens when the cell phone answers

Normal phone call. Both sides hear and can talk with each other.

Then all you have to do is Monitor the trunk and see if you hear ringback there, if you don't you know it's not your problem

Changed the settings in the Route"? Set the EOD and ODT timers to 512 and test.
