Greetings,

DEACTIVATE-USSU:LTU=19; AMO taking long time. Expert mode displays: %#* AMO STILL ACTIVE * every few minute but nothing else. In trying to re-start LTU 19, the following commands were entered about 5 minutes after the deactivate command was entered:

EXEC-USSU:MODE=DELAP,LTU=19;
EXEC-USSU:MODE=CONFAP,LTU=19;

Will the HiPath execute all 3 commands sequentially or will they need to be re-entered? Plese help!

If you entered those other two commands in the command buffer area of ComWin while the DEA-USSU was running, the system will simply stack those commands and run them in the sequence by which you typed them.
This is normal.

Regarding the DEA-USSU taking so long - what type of IPDA is shelf 19? AP3700-9, or HiPath Access 500, or Softgate, or other?
Usually the DEA-USSU happens fairly quickly. Did you enter a value for the "REFOFF" parameter? Typically you should accept the default value for that parameter (just enter a ";" to end the AMO).

The message "AMO Still Running" is normal if an AMO exceeds the system's expectations. I would not worry. Just be patient.

10-4, the processor has to get reset - it was frozen... more to folllow

The standby processor, which was Active, had haulted and required a reset. The reset of processor B caused processor A to become Active and this cleared the %#* AMO STILL ACTIVE * messages to cease and Expert Access to come back up but did not restore calls between host and IPDA. The follow up action was to reset the STMI cards that were not reaching the IPDA (100% ip payload failure). These combination restored services between host and IPDA 19 (amongst other shelves in the remote).

Thank you very much for your quick response - very much appreciated!

Sounds like there is much more to this story than simply wanting the DEACT shelf 19 !!
