Deacquiring a set in a split core 1

Is there a way to deacquire a set without corrupting the DB? Can it be done in LD 32,etc.? I have the cores split, and I'm working in the standby core, needing to move 5 of the sets to new TNs. All five are still showing acquired, but that core has no communication with SCCS. What is the proper way to accomplish this?
