Hello all, I have 3 Mitel system clustered with PNI 731 and having all the same distribution list in OPS manager. Also i have 22 systems clustered with PNI 54,which have their own distribution list in OPS Manager
Now i need to de-cluster the 3 system out of cluster 731 and cluster them into cluster 54. What is the faster and what is the easiest way to do this.

Never done this, but first thoughts are:

Remove all remote directory numbers of all 3 systems
Delete all cluster information
Add the 3 systems to the your new cluster

Delete the 3 nodes out of OPS
Add the 3 nodes to the correct cluster

Full collect of the 3 systems
directory synch en done.

you may have difficulty changing or removing the PNI from the 3 systems. WHat sw relase?

NO GOOD DEED GOES UNPUNISHED!

Unfortunally you might have 2 issues.
1 All systems in a cluster must/should have the same software version, so that means there is at least one system that should be upgraded to the same version as the rest.
2 Systems that have already been art of a cluster are not normally joined to an other cluster. You will run into a lot of issues doing it that way. The best way forward is exporting the information from the systems and do a Full Install on the systems. Join them to the network and them import the exported information. last sync the whole network.

Speak to Tech support first would be my recomendation as have had issues before when removing elements from cluster. There is an outstanding issue in OPS that doesn;t remove all the data

I go with Mitelmatt, i have done this once before and it was a bit opf the nightmare, i had some instructions sent to me from tech support, if i can find them i will post it up, but log a call and run through it as this is not a straight forward thing to do by any means.

You might not need to blow away the databases on your systems.
First take a backup before doing anything that way if you run in to trouble you will be able to restore your system.

You will however need to delete the remote directory entries and associated telephone directory entries.
If you have resilient user/devices then these will need to be changed from the OpsMan.
Once done make sure all systems are on the same software level as the rest of the cluster.
It is quite complicated and time consuming to de-cluster.
This will need to be performed out of hours and expect to set asside at least 8 hours to complete.

You will need to remove the elements on opsman and all the associated processes.

Next you can remove the CEID's on all three systems of the others.

To remove the cluster completly you will need to run a couple of commands from the VxWorks Shell on each of the 3 controllers.

->rm "/db/database/files/icpclust.db"
->rm "/db/database/files/clicppbx.db"
->rm "/db/database/files/neprops.db"
->rm "/db/database/files/netelmcr.db"
->appShutdown

Once system is back up the cluster element form should be clear.
You will need to program the ARS on all 3 systems for the CEID Routing digits to all 22 systems depending on what trunks you use IP Trunking or DPNSS or a mixture of both.

Once complete
Add the 3 systems from one of the existing 22 cluster elements and start data sharing this should then populate the cluster element form with all 25 systems.
Once this is done you will need to add the 3 systems in opsman, if you have Entman then you will need to sync to opsman.
Once they are listed you will need to edit them with the correct CEID and then add them to the distribution list and the PDG
Lastly you will need to perform a full prop to the 3 systems which should populate the RDN and Teldir.

I think I have covered everything!

Found out an easy way to delete our 1200 Telephone directory entries. Goto the mitel 3300, export the Tel dir enties. Delete all entries, this will generate pending changes, synch opsman for that system and it will remove all tel dir enties for that system. import the exported file and delete the pending changes. thsi is better than removing 1200 enties by hand. for the rest we have come up with a plan which includes all you gave me, Thanks for that.
