DDR ram prices going up?

Hi i was just wondering, why are the DDR ram prices going up higher and higher, are they expected to get lower anytime soon? thanks

Just think it's seasonal? from wot other people have said it always happens just before Christmas.

Well since intell got out of there rambus contract the ram manufactures ar raising there prices to make up for the loss. By the mid of next year you will be paying 1.00 per meg

Listen to the words supply and demand! I dought that the little rambus that was being sold would effect all ram prices?? As there are lots of companies making the stuff they get what they can, when they can, big demand at christmas so they ask for more money, simple economics.
