Hi, we've just had some DDI lines moved to our primary, before when we've had this done they work straight off - stripping out the necessary numbers to leave the 4 digits for the extensions but this time for soem reason its not working - if I dial one of the numbers from my mobile and do a CCS Trace I can see the line coming in but it doesnt ring on the key I've setup and I hear a Telco error message on my mobile...

Anyone got any ideas?

System is a 3300 MXe running 8.0.9.20

Thanks!

1 - Are you receiving the same number of digits as your existing DDI's?

2 - Are you inserting any digits in your Trunk service assignment?

Lest we forget "Absorb zero" in trunk service assignment. This has bitten me too many times to count.

Absorb Zero - Not Necessarily. Only if the Digits received are 4 digits only.

Could be receiving 7 digits and Absorbing 3 (or any viable combination)

If the new DDI's are the same digit length, this takes care of itself. If not this will be the issue

If however we are receiving 7 Absorbing 4 and inserting X(digit 1-9) then there can be an issue.

Thanks - think I've found it - the system was absorbing 6 digits and inserting a 5 so all the extensions for the DDi needed to start with a 5 rather than the ddi number....

Thanks again!!!

That is where I would have put my money down.

Glad to help.
