DDI for SBUS in Networked 3300 Enviroment 1

The subject line maybe confusing so here is the scenario

We have two networked Mitel3300 running MCD4.1 with their own DDI ranges.
We have SBUS at Site1
We want to use a DDI from Site2 to ring the SBUS at Site1

SBUS is configured correctly at Site1 testing ok internally.
I have setup ARS for the DDI digits in site 1 but I cannot work out how to send the DDI from Site2 over the network. On version9 I would have manually ammeneded the remote directory assignment and added the digits to go to Site1 but you cant seem to manually edit this page anymore?

This maybe straightforward and I am missing a step!

As differnt countries have different terminology could you explain the terms DDI and SBUS. I think DDI is a direct incoming telephone number ( Direct In Dial in our parlance )to a phone but am not sure what SBUS would be.

In newer software you can no longer edit the remote directory form. Its still possible to add ARS strings outside of the cluster programming so maybe making the DDI equate to a ARS string pointing across the network would work.

Sorry for the confusion. I am based in the UK.
DDI is a direct incoming telephone number. Both sites have PRI Trunks and the providers offer the system four digit presentation.

The numbers are programmed as required as extensions/multicall keys.

SBUS is a BRI Extension. On system1 which has the BRI Extensions I have already programmed an ARS route for the 4 digits but the DDI is relavant to System2

From your message it seems that the best idea is to add the 4 digits on system2 and have it route over the IPtrunk to system1?

On system to with the direct dials I added an "ars digit dialled" using the route over the ip trunks and it connected succesfully

Here is my workaround for using ARS instead of the Remote Directory form.

First off, for all of my DID's (DDI's) I accept 7 digits and create matching speedcalls.

I then use the speedcall to translate the digits to local or remote DN's.

As dicovered in this thread, not all remote DN's are necessarily populated.

The simplest solution is to use the speedcall to prefix the Cluster ID digits for the destination system. (This is basically all the Remote DN form does). No changes or specific entries are required in ARS.

I guess I should mention the same thing applies to internal calls.

I create a speedcall for the 3/4 digit DN and actual dial the prefix the CLID + digits
