DCS files spool into oblivion

I print color separations on my LJ4mv all the time with no problems. But when I email files with placed DCS (desktop color separation) files to a client of mine, they just spool to full size and disapear on his LJ5000. Yes I sent the attachments along with the print file. He can print vector files without placements no problem but files with places DCS's just wont go through. Can anyone please help me diagnose what is the major difference between our setups? We are both running Win2k pro with all the service packs and printing out of Adobe Illustrator 10.0.3 I am via an appletalk port through my LAN, he's directly connected via parallel.

this souindfs like a driver problem i would recommend reinstalling the printer driver on the machine that is having problems mpreferably using a poscript if its a graphic he usally prints

I made sure the latest version of the LJ5000 postscript drivers were running.
