Guys,
Just a warning. On version 9.5, change sys feat., the DCS+ config defaults to Italian !
On a UK switch, if this goes un-noticed and is not configured by someone, if someone tries to remove call forward from an off-net extension, the control element will lock up.
This causes every phone on the port network (local, not remote/offnet where the number that you tried to de-call forward resides) will lock up.
When you use the de-actication FAC on the remote extension, you will receive a long pause followed by denial tone.
The lock up happens after three consecutive attempts at de-activation.
After 5 minutes or so the switch will perform a reset level 2.
Just to let you know. Shame the default is Italian, and shame that the software is poorly written. The switch should never (!) lock up or reboot, even if misconfigured.
Avaya in the UK had to escellate this one to the US. Luckily we found the required changes before they started work on the case.
The system involved was a DEFINITY ECS G3Si offer in SCC / ECC and was being upgraded from version 3.
Rgds,
Giles.
