DCOM Service not starting on a Windows 2003 Standard Box

I need some help. I can't seem to figure out this quirky issue. I have a DC/Windows 2003 Standard. I saw in the event viewer that DCOM service that could not start. I went into services MMC and tried starting the DCOM service and I get the follow message:

Error 1053 - Service did not start in a timely fashion.

Any thought are well appreciated.
