Event ID: 10021
Date: 8/31/2005

Computer: BLUE
Description:
The launch and activation security descriptor for the COM Server application with CLSID
{2A6D72F1-6E7E-4702-B99C-E40D3DED33C3}
is invalid. It contains Access Control Entries with permissions that are invalid. The requested action was therefore not performed. This security permission can be corrected using the Component Services administrative tool.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at
Where
{2A6D72F1-6E7E-4702-B99C-E40D3DED33C3}

is the Frameworkservice installed by Mcafee antivirus. How can I get this to go away. I've been through the Component services tool and cannot get the right permissions to make this go away. Suggestions?

By setting the security etc for DCOM to default everything works.

In component services in admin tools

Console Root|Component Services|My Computer|DCOM Config
Find the GUID that is showing up in the error log.

Go into properties

On the General Tab set the Authentication Level to default.
On the Security Tab set all permissions to default.

That's what worked for me.

I hope this helps.
