Hi there,
I was searching up and down, reading tens of reports but I still unable to solve this problem.
I'm now developing this DCOM so that it acts as a App. server to connect to DB server.
When I wanted to connect to this App. server from client, it gave me this: 'Run-time error 429'.
I read thru the MSDN, the tips from other websites, and books reading this issue. I followed EXACTLY what were told in the tips, suggested solutions from the websites or the book, but none is working.
Please clarify for me on this: the network address, should it be the PC Name (let say 'MyPC') or the IP Address (i.e. 118.126.11.8)?
I've used the dcomcnfg to make many changes to try on the connection but still not working. I might be a bit stupid, but since nothing is working, I am asking help from you guys here.
I really appreciate if you could help me on this.
Thank you in advance.
Regards,
Calvin
p/s: if you need any further information, please let me know. I will provide then.
