DCOM component simple question...

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could tell me if it is possible to access a file on the web server from a COM component in a distributed environment? My COM component does this currently since the COM components run on the web server, but if I was to use DCOM to run the COM components on another server, is this stil possible?
