DCOM application very slow

I have a PIX 525 connected to one of the LAN interfaces on a Checkpoint FW-1. I have a server on the DMZ port of the Checkpoint that runs an application that creates COM objects on a server connected to the LAN port of the PIX. The problem is that the COM objects tke + - 90 seconds to be created whereas the should take less than a second. The server on the DMZ of the Checkpoint is a member server of the domain on the LAN of the PIX, all domain communications function as expexted and performance is good, its only COM app that takes a long time.
Any ideas most welcome
