Hi.

I have absolutely no knowledge about novell. So this is maybe a newbie question.

I already have DHCP via novell netware 6.5. But I need an extra option in the DHCP scope also called a "vendor spesific option" with the number 144 with an attached string. How do I setup this, anyone...???

In the DNS/DHCP management utility select your scope or subnet then choose the "Other DHCP Options" tab. One of the optional components is "Vendor-Specific Information

Thanks, but do I define it manually there or do I have to make this option somewhere else to be populated in this list??

You have to go to your Global Options (toolbar with Globe and Checkmarks) - then DHCP Options Table -- Then Add option 144 to your list of available options, and define it per your requirements. Once you do that, you can add that option to your subnet just like any other predefined option.

The catch is, that depending on what you're trying to do, it may require some extra tweaking beyond what you can enter into those dialogs, and may require manual entry from ConsoleOne. There was another thread on this just about a week ago.
