hi there !

Last Friday 17 our CS1000 system reports fails.

I wanna know why the IP PHONES 1200 display the message SERVER UNREACHABLE ?

I check the AHST logs....
DCH055 DCH: 3 RLS CONFIRM TIME: 16:46:27 17/07/2009
ELAN009 ELAN 0 host IP=10.10.10.21 disabled, write to socket fail due to far end disconnect or Ethernet problems
ELAN014 ELAN 0 host IP=10.10.10.21 is enabled
DCH054 DCH: 3 EST CONFIRM TIME: 16:48:09 17/07/2009

CISCO 2960 shows status (DOWN and then UP) on ports 11 and 23. Those interfaces are TLAN ports and ELAN ports for Signaling Server CPPM.

Which card is responsible?
CALL SERVER, SIGNALING SERVER, MGC?

CS1000 solves the problem itself.

If the IP phone cannot register to their Node IP, then they will display that message. The Node IP is hosted by (In Order of availability)

1. Leader Signaling Server
2. Follower Signaling Server
3. Master VGMC Card

Well I am guessing that 10.10.10.21 is your MG that contains Dchannel 3. It would appear that you lost your PBX Link and it could be network related. Did you check with your network team to see if there was anything strange?
Can you actually ping your 10.10.10.21? You shouldn't be able to since that is your ELAN. We can ping ours currently and we are in the works of getting ACLs to restrict this 'extra traffic' even though we are segragated via VLAN.

Our TLAN is connected with the PCs LAN (CLAN)and ELAN subnet is isolated.
Prior to this issue, we had problems with the CLAN Network, specifically a server, which saturates the CLAN with broadcast traffic.
The problem solves about 15:00 hrs. Late, 16:46 hrs CS1000 sent DCH055 and ELAN009.

had something to do ?

If you do LD 117..stat serv you can see what type of service is that IP address (MGC,sisg server..etc..)

If the LAN was saturated, and you were having connectivity issues, then this could certainly be the issue.

I would create a new VLAN for the T-LAN, and keep that traffic separate from the others.

Do you just have the one signaling server? When the gateway with the Lead sig server bounced, the IP sets should have all registered over to the Follower sig server.

What software release are you on? Nortel issued a patch last year (AH19) for 5.0 that addresses media gateways spontaneously rebooting.

We have RLS 5.5 and one Signaling Server.
LD 117 stat serv prints
ELAN IP : 10.10.10.21
PBXLINKSTAT: LINK UP
PBXLDATE: 17/07/09 ***---*** Last state???
TIME: 16:47:47 hrs ***---***

MGC: 10.10.10.11
PBXLINKSTAT: LINK UP
PBXLDATE: 27/04/09
TIME: 09:25:51 hrs.

the IP address that you mentioned is signalling server and it goes down nd recovered last 17/7/09

where is the database of IP PHONES (Call Server, Sig server, MGC)??
