Hello,
we have a bizarre situation that means I need to forward an extension to another. This sounds very simple so I will explain more below.
So we have an analogue line that used to have a fax on the end of it. Unfortunately following some work the port can no longer be located and the wiring at this office is a nightmare so we are initially looking to simply forward this fax to another fax in the building. However, when I tried this I received the following.

REQ: chg
TYPE: 500
TN 0 1 5 0
ECHG yes
ITEM ftr dcfw SCH6395
FTR !
>err SCH6395
>

SCH6395
This prompt, Class of Service, or feature cannot be configured on a
non-phantom TN.

Severity: Info

so the question is, how can I convert this to a Phantom TN or get the one extension to forward to the other?

thanks

Or delete the fax line and create it as a Phantom TN

Or go to the MDF and station forward it

Or, if it's a DID, you can create a CDN and target it to the other DN.
Or....

hello I may be able to do some of the above but I might need a touch more info about some basic steps.
The only one I can't do assuming I've understood it correctly is to go to the MDF and station forward it. I have understood this as go to the handset and type the forward code. Unfortunately there is no handset for me to go to and I don't know which cable it is in the data centre, yes yes this a dreadful state of afairs but it's what we have at the moment :(
If you mean to go into a mode on the PBX to forward it then I'm will to try it :)
I believe that from the PBX I can set up a call forward and the number but I can't activate it hence needing the DCFW.
PerryBI hate to ask the following question but how do I make the line a Phantom TN
also bhassell2000 how do I make it a ACDN,

Thanks for the help guys :)

Here is what I would do:

1st:
LD 10
REQ: OUT
TYPE: 500
TN: 0 1 5 0

2nd:
LD 23
REQ: NEW
TYPE: ACD
CUST: 0
ACDN: (the fax DN that was on TN 0 1 5 0)
hit return to
MAXP: 1
hit return to
NCFW: (the target fax extension)
hit return all the way out

Thank you so much for this advice.
I've performed the work and it works perfectly. If we ever get the cabling resolved, it'll simply be a matter of reversing the work. Brilliant :)
much appreciated.
