dcdiag reports no errors but repadmin fails

Ive got a dc that dcdiag runs with no errors but when i try to run repadmin I get an error and it wont run at all. Ive researched this but havnt found anything that helps yet.

repadmin /showreps c:\temp\showreps.txt
LDAP error 81 (Server Down) Win32 Err 58.

on the other dcs showreps tells me everything is replicating just fine...

any information would be appreciated...

its is one of the same DC's in that thread. Still trying to get to the bottom of everything thats going on with that situation.

i did look at that winsock error but couldnt be sure that it was related to what's going on and the fixes didnt seem "safe" enough to try without more research..
