In XP pro after emptying recycle bin a friend of mine now see's can't delete dc38. There is nothing listed in the recycle bin but there is paper in the bin. When deleting other items fine but still says can not selte dc38. Has anyone ever heard of this problem? What exactly is dc38?
We have recently cleaned his system from KAZAA. No more viruses detected and no more adware detected.

When you delete a file using Windows Explorer it does not actually delete

it. Explorer sends it to the Recycle Bin. This process ends up with

renaming the file (with this Dc37 or some other name). Auto Mirror detects

rename operation and replicate the renamed file. Everything is OK at this

point. To fix the problem You can try: Recycle Bin -> properties check "Do

not move files to Recycle bin". It should force Explorer to delete file

instead of rename.

Damaged Recycled Folder:

The Recycled folder itself can become damaged. Files are moved to the folder and the Recycle Bin on the desktop appears full but you cannot view the contents and the Empty The Recycle Bin command may be unavailable, or simply doesn't work.

Deleting the Recycle Bin and then restarting Windows, which will re-create and restore its functionality. Restart the computer and delete the recycle bin by pressing F8 at the WinXP Startup menu, and then select Safe Mode with Command Prompt. Navigate to the correct drive prompt (ie C or D). Type the following commands, pressing Enter after each line:

attrib -s -h recycler
del recycler
