I have a question about removing a domain controller for a site that no longer exists. The server is a global catalogue server for a remote site.
The site in question was a remote site that was shutdown and the domain controller was sent back to me. If the site was still up (or I was warned before hand) I would of run DCPROMO and removed it properly.
If I try and plug it in at my current site it won't work as it's on the wrong IP range. Now I could change it's IP address and then remove it but I'm not sure if that's the right thing to do? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks
