Hi,

I've 2 win2k servers, both are DC, I'm in the process of upgrading to win2003 server (new box). However, my main DC failed due to hardware problem, I seize FSMO from the failed DC to the working DC. Question is do I need to remove the failed DC from active directory before upgrade to 2003, or should I upgrade and then remove? since 2003 has a better tool for removed failed DC from Active Directory.

Thanks,

Kevin

I would remove it first. Dont' want bad data to be upgraded bad data...lol

It should be same procedure as Windows 2003 so do it before you upgrade.
